Elected to the San Mateo County Democratic Central Committee in 2012, 2016 and 2020. Elected to the Executive Board in 2017.

John Woodell has lived in San Mateo County for over 25 years, and has been an active member of the San Mateo County Democratic Central Committee for over 12 years. He was previously elected to the Executive Board where he served as Recording Secretary, and currently helps provide zoom audio and video support during hybrid Democratic Central Committee meetings.

John Woodell also serves on the Government Relations Committee for the American Red Cross Bay Area (ARCBA). Mr. Woodell is also an active mentor with Sequoia Union High School District, and has volunteered with Rebuilding Together Peninsula.
